we have some major changes to talk about in the next several days. snow line that comes a report, conditions in sierra tahoe one to 3 in. of new snow, base of 30 to 98 in.. north stars 6 to 14 in. of new powder with a base of 41 to 92. squaw valley, 6 to 10 in. of new snow, 24 base of 209. >> we have been tracking this hot spot on the east shore freeway and is having major impact how it is a 880 and that was found ride. this was initially reported as a multicar crash. it was clear to the shoulder but embassy vehicle locked the right lane at paul street. it is mostly a vigil hazard but look what it is done to the ride. it is that at of the traffic almost all its 2 highway 84. drive times are now pushing over 30 minutes for the east shore freeway. this should be about 21 minutes. it is over 30 minutes now. it is a major delay. it is also having a big impact on the bay bridge commute. there is no traffic here at the bay bridge toll plaza. normally we would see traffic backed almost the macarthur maze. we would even see 880 approach backed up. all of the

they are doing some lane changes now. this is one of those lane change trucks driving past. no issues heading into san francisco from marin county. westbound 4 all green on our traffic sensors from antioch towards the concord area. and a quick check of milpitas, if you are leaving that 880/237 interchange, so far quiet all the way towards sunnyvale. once again that roadwork continues this morning eastbound 580 approaching north greenville so this is going against the commute until 11:00 this morning. only one lane is open. in the meantime westbound 580 so far looks great from tracy all the way out to livermore and bart so far no delay on any bart line. that is your "timesaver traffic" camera. >>> starting tomorrow new yorkers can no longer order large sugary drinks at restaurants. the ban offered by the mayor limits stores and restaurants from selling drinks larger than 16 ounces. some restaurants are waiting hoping a court challenge stops or delays the restrictions. >> this is in the country's interest. this year, for the first time in the history of the world, more people

where you try to change cultures, try to change the norms in the community are and certainly in our office we devote significant resources to this. just a couple of examples. we have something called the parent project, and i am very grateful in a time of really reduced funding our board of supervisors stepped up and provided funding for otherwise what was run on a shoe string out of our office, and it's a program that teaches parents to be better parents and parents get referred this program through schools, through police department, through their churches and some of the behavior that we see in schools are behavior they are learning at home, so we try to address this through this project. we offer it all over santa clara county and in english and spanish and vietnamese and that is one example of what we do. a second initiative we are working to make happen is something called "school link services" where there's all of these different resources floating out there to help children, to help young people, but often it's not centralized in the school and so it involves a lot of cooperation
